Which condition should be treated with caution during a body treatment?

Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye, is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, which is the membrane that covers the white part of the eye and lines the eyelids. Given its contagious nature and the sensitivity of the area involved, treatments in proximity to the eyes should be approached with caution. It can easily spread, and any body treatment that may involve proximity to the eyes, or that could introduce products or procedures that might irritate the condition, carries a risk of exacerbating the symptoms or spreading the infection.

In contrast, while cold sores, acne, and puffy eyes are also conditions of concern, they do not carry the same level of contagious risk nor do they involve such a sensitive area that requires heightened caution as with conjunctivitis. Treating those conditions might be approached with localized care and appropriate protocols, while conjunctivitis necessitates stringent avoidance measures during any body treatment.
